Power Keeps Tripping at a Hair Salon in Shah Alam? Rats May Be the Cause
Puan Julia runs a hair salon on the second floor of a shop lot in Shah Alam, Selangor. This morning, when she arrived at work and switched on the lights, the electrical supply kept tripping.
She tried to switch the power back on, but the problem continued. Since she needed to open her shop for business, she searched online for an electrician in Shah Alam and contacted our team for help.

Checking the lights, fans and power points
When we arrived, we did not simply reset the breaker and leave. Our technician carried out proper electrical troubleshooting to find out why the power was repeatedly tripping.
We checked the lighting, ceiling fans, power points and electrical circuits in the shop. The DB box was also inspected to help identify which circuit was causing the problem.
After testing different points and tracing the electrical wiring, we finally found the cause. Rats had bitten and damaged the electrical wiring at the back of the shop. The damaged wiring was causing the electrical circuit to trip whenever the lights were switched on.
Our technician repaired and reconnected the damaged wiring before testing the electrical circuit again. After the repair, the power supply was restored and the repeated tripping problem was resolved.
