Hot Weather in Malaysia – Everyone Depends on Aircond
Lately, the weather in Malaysia has been extremely hot. At home and at work, almost everyone depends on aircond just to stay comfortable and sleep well at night.
But imagine this situation. You come home after a long day, feeling tired and hot. You switch on your aircond… and suddenly the electricity trips. This is exactly what happened to one of our customers in Bangi.
Thought It Was the Aircond Problem
At first, he thought it was an aircond problem. Like many people, he believed the compressor or the unit might be faulty. But the same problem still happened. Every time he turned on the aircond, the power would trip again.

We Checked the Real Electrical System
Instead of focusing only on the aircond, we inspected the full electrical system, including the DB box, wiring, and circuit breakers. After checking, we found the real issue was a weak and overly sensitive MCB inside the DB box. It was tripping whenever the aircond started because of higher startup power, even though the aircond itself was actually perfectly fine.
We replaced the faulty MCB with a new and suitable one. After that, everything went back to normal. The aircond could run smoothly, no more tripping, and the customer finally enjoyed a comfortable night again.
Simple Lesson
Not all tripping problems come from the aircond. Sometimes the real problem is in the electrical system, like the fuse box, DB box, wiring, or MCB. A wrong diagnosis can easily waste money on unnecessary repairs or replacements.
