Mid-Autumn Festival is a special time for families to come home, enjoy dinner together, have some mooncakes, drink tea and spend time with one another.

MCB Trips Every Few Hours – What Is the Problem?
Recently, a customer in Petaling Jaya had a problem where the MCB at home would trip after a few hours. At first, the customer simply switched the MCB back on and the electricity returned to normal.
But after a few days, the problem became more frequent. One evening, the MCB tripped again and could not stay on. Every time it was switched back on, it would trip again shortly after.
When an MCB keeps tripping, it is better not to keep switching it back on without checking the cause. The problem could be from the wiring, an electrical appliance, a heavy electrical load or damaged wiring.

After checking the customer’s electrical system, we found that the MCB was faulty and one of the cables had damaged insulation, causing the wires to come into contact with each other.
We replaced the faulty MCB and repaired the damaged wiring. After the repair, the electrical supply returned to normal.
