DB Box Tripping in Denai Alam
Last night we received a call from a customer in Denai Alam.
A few days ago, the lights in his master bedroom and bathroom suddenly tripped. He thought maybe it was just a small issue but yesterday things got worse. The kitchen and another bedroom also tripped.
Imagine having kids needing to do homework and the wife trying to cook dinner but half the house is in darkness. Really susah! 😅
He asked around and one of his friends recommended us. That’s when he gave us a call.

What We Found After Opening The DB Box
When we carefully inspected the customer’s DB box, the root cause became clear. Many of the wires inside were not tightened properly during the original installation. Over time, these loose connections created small gaps where electricity could arc and generate heat. This heat slowly built up and eventually caused the MCB to trip repeatedly.
A loose wire connection might look like a small issue from the outside, but in reality, it can be very dangerous. The constant heating and cooling not only weakens the connection further but can also damage the insulation of the wires. In the long run, this can lead to burnt wires, melted switches, or even the risk of an electrical fire. That’s why every screw and every terminal in the DB box must be tightened correctly by a skilled wireman who follows proper workmanship standards.
When we checked his DB box, we found the issue:
👉 Many of the wires were not tightened securely.
👉 The loose connections caused heat and made the MCB trip again and again.
